- Josh’s biggest gripe: the pilot doesn’t yet require the second buck be taken in the same county as the doe.
- Roughly 275 hunters under 40 packed the last NRC meeting, the biggest young turnout Josh has seen.
- A doe pole run by his friend Drew donated about 1,500 pounds of venison to Hunters Feeding Lenawee.
- Elliot has already shot around seventeen does this season, just around his own house.
- There’s a statewide network of processors that will take donated deer meat, even outside doe-pole events.
- Josh bought a new Matthews Arc 34, selling his old bow in the parking lot of an NRC meeting.
- He permanently mounted a diesel heater fuel tank to his trailer after last year’s “game changer” upgrade.
